Environment

Due to its geographic location, the Susa represents a blend of northern and southern vegetation. The entire area is rich in flora, with over 1900 species recorded, and a high diversity of plants. The regional Parks of Alpi Cozie and the natural reserves aim to protect this heritage: the territory of the proyected areas covers 15,500 hectares along the whole extension of the Valley, together with 12,500 hectares included within the Sites of Community Importance (SCI).
