Bran
Giaglione
The Bran is one of the central elements of the festival of the patron saint of Giaglione, Saint Vincent. Along with the Swords Dance it represents one of the deepy rooted popular religious traditions in the Piedmont Alps.
Also known as the three of life because of its floral decorations evoking the spring re-birth, it is an expression of the fertility of the earth.
The Bran is carried in a procession by a young woman dressed in a traditional garb.
